Games played weekend 23/24 October
U12's lost 4 - 3 to Multyfarnham, after a disappointing first half a second half hat trick from Rory McHugh just wasn't enough as a late winner sees Multyfarnham go on to the next round of the Norton Cup.
In the U14 Goodison Cup a Yeats Utd were 7 - o winners in a game where we had few chances but did't give up till the final whistle, hopefully an away game to Gurteen Celtic next weekend will see a better result.
In a "game of 2 halves" Villa Mens team who were 3 - 1 up at half time saw a dramatic turn around in the 2nd half to lose 5 - 3, 2 first half goals from Fergal Kilgannon and 1 from Keith Lang put Villa in a strong half time position but coolaney took all 3 points at the end.
An away game to local rivals Kilglass/Enniscrone next Sunday should be an entertaining local derby and all support would be greatly appreciated.
A bus has been booked for the Cup Final Sligo Rovers V Shamrock Rovers in the Aviva Stadium on November 14th, to book a seat contact any committee member, at €15 for adults and €10 for under 16's seats are going fast....
Tickets for the match go on sale this week and Dromore Villa F.C. wish Sligo Rovers all the best for the final.

On Saturday both U12 teams were on the loosing side, our u12 team travelled to Oranmore in Galway but were on the wrong side of a 6 goals to 1 scoreline. We were short several players through injury and wish Iarla, Oisin and Simon a speedy recovery. The U12 Cubs who played the first half with 10 players were beaten 4 goals to 2 but hopefully next week results will go our way.
On Sunday the Junior team were away to Moylough 79 and although they put up a good performance were beaten 2 goals to nil on the day, back to the League next Sunday with a home tie against Coolaney Utd at 11am.

Congrats to the u12 Cubs on a fine win by 4 goals to 3 when they travelled to Manor Rangers on Saturday, scorers on the day were Daniel Cuffe, Eunan Curran, Simon Mullarkey and Evan Kilrehill. A fine game in goal for Sean Hallinan there were goal line clearances by Gavin Connolly and Cian Murray along with fine displays for Shane Kilgannon, Joseph Taheny and Kevin McGee who all worked hard in defence while Mark Devaney and Luke Browne attacked well form the middle of the field. The Cubs are at home to Boyle Celtic Cubs next week at 11am.

In the U16 Barry Cup we went down 5 goals to 2 in a spirited performance which saw 2nd half goals from Ryan Burns and John Higgins, in a game where Villa created some fine scoring chances and a good overall display.
The Junior team were away to Real Tubber and in a well contested match come out on top 3 goals to 2 in a 5 goal thriller. 2 goals from Fergal Kilgannon and 1 from Keith Lang sealed the victory. A similar performance this weekend when we are at home to Carrick Town would see a deserved improvement in our league position.
